How to install the V handlebar cover
The V handlebar cover is compatible with all Velec brand electrically assisted bicycles. If you own an electric touring bike with straight handlebars from another brand, there is a good chance that the cover is also compatible with your bike.
There are 2 ways to install the V handlebar cover on your bike. There is no one better than the other, but you will probably have a favorite! .
In both cases, if you have a mirror on the left side of your handlebars, we suggest folding it to facilitate the installation of the cover.
Method #1
- Open the zippers on both sides of the V protector
- Place the protector on the handlebars. The V logo must be on the front of the bike, and the semi-circle opening must be centered on the bike's stem.
- Close the zippers on each side of the handlebars.
- Pass the Velcro strips through the back of the handlebar cover, insert them into the plastic rings, and pull them before turning them back on themselves. This step ensures that the cover is securely attached to the handlebars.
Method #2
- Open the zipper on the V logo side only.
- Slide the cover onto the handlebars from the side with the zipper still closed. The V logo must be on the front of the bike, and the semi-circle opening must be centered on the bike's stem.
- Close the zippers on the V logo side.
- Pass the Velcro strips through the back of the handlebar cover, insert them into the plastic rings, and pull them before turning them back on themselves. This step ensures that the cover is securely attached to the handlebars.
